Thread: CE Lancer Cluster Intermittent Fault

    Update: I've tried re-earthing the cluster, that didn't change anything, and also checked the battery voltage to the cluster, and that is good. I've ordered an OBDII scanner from ebay, so hopefully that will be able to tell me which side of things I need to concentrate on, either ECU -> Speed Sensor, or ECU-> Cluster. I'm thinking maybe the ECU is damaged somehow, and might need to replace that....

    Default Wiring

    I can confirm that Alpals instructions were also how I was able to fix the issue on my Mitsi Lancer too.

    I made the following wiring diagram, which may be of use to others in future. It appears to be a result of a micro fracture on one of the PCB Traces.



    The broken dotted yellow line is the two terminals that need to be re-wired.

    * anyone in Sydney who can help me out? I can't find any visible break. Same symptoms, odo, speedo not working but has lights. sometimes works but when the engine is fully heated then speedo doesn't work. Thanks in advance
