I have never used a PIN on the Poxtel Pace box - I wouldn't even know what to input! On the DM600 it doesn't ask for one.

So the current movie must be an R rated one for them to ask for a PIN.

Anyone know what the default PIN is, and how to use it with a Dreambox?

i think its 1234 does that mean, if I enter it, I have to pay for it?
    geeez what to do.... tempted!

edit:just doubled checked. its funny games Rated R
which I assume is (as its rated 18+ worldwide)

i entered 1234 and have the picture.... better NOT be paying for it!

    Thanks ziggee,

I don't think you will pay extra for it. I don't want to haul out the Pace just to input a PIN everytime I want to watch an R rated movie.

I am using CCCam with my DM500/600 network and might try the cfg entry below which I found in the CCCam.cfg file -

    # set card pin
    # * please be very careful with this option as you could lock your card *
    #
    # PIN: <device> <pin>
    #
    #example
    #
    #PIN: /dev/sci0 1234

It's amazing what you can find in that file if you look Answers many questions.

Has anyone tried this, as I am wary of the warning of the card locking if things stuff up.

Take out the Pace box, insert your card, go into parental control and reset the R rating. This way you'll never have to worry about it again.
The setting is stored on the card.

    Thanks vk6xlr,

I'll dig the Pace out tomorrow and do what you suggest.
