    Default Aurora Question

I have moved back to tv blackspot and seeing I have lived in one before I still have an old Xtreme XSC-520H_PVR (With Irdeto Cam) decoder, plus a legit Optus Aurora card and a hacked all channels Aurora goldie.
Both of these are Irdeto 1 .
So before I race out and buy a dish and lnb, will this decoder/card still work or is Aurora only Irdeto 2 now ??
If I need to get an Irdeto 2 Aurora card is it likely the cam module in the extreme decoder is compatible ?

    Thanks.

Go get that dish and 10.7 Ghz LNB. Its still in Irdeto One.
The module should be fine with a new card.

Thanks for the quick replies guys.
It's been a while since I've done anything with satellite gear.
I assume it's still running off B3 ? from memory.
Now where did I put that sat meter ?

I believe the Irdeto 1 is being phased out and you will not be able to watch it next year... It has been extended for a five year period when they upgraded and that will end in 2009. It still works now but you may not be able to watch it any time next year.. and if they choose to extended any further it will be at their own discretion.

He should be ok though, as he says he is authorised for Aurora, and would get notified of a card swap out anyhow. Yes, he would miss out on those additional channels though, unless another mate/ friend etc in an authorised area gets a card for him, and he plays swapsies..

I have 2 family members in rural WA with official Irdeto 1 cards and they haven't been advised about anything. I've told them to call me straight away if they get a letter from Optus.

Besides, my gut feeling says they won't touch Irdeto 1 until the 2013 analog switch-off date for terrestrial services.
