Default Two years on and the programs over 90% the same

Except for some lifestyle shows and interesting ones,I have become bored with the repeating of 2nd or 3rd rate shows.
If this has been said before Iam sorry I need to get more familiar with this set up.Is there a way to find the same subject without browsing 100s of threads. With lots to do Iam not giving myself enough time on this forum.

And with the 'NEW' line up and extra time shifted channels, this should in theory Quadruple the repetiveness of the current programming.

But there is good side to this for us aging viewers because as our Grey RAM brain cells die off, by the time the program is repeated, we might remember the basic story line but we have forgotten the punch line.

i have had austar from the start and i can still watch programs today i watched 12 years ago........................the new channels coming will just be programmed with shows they have already ran to death.

with the repeats played adnauseum and insurance ads on every 3 minutes i can see the austar wheels falling off very soon.

The New generation Foxtel - watch what you want when you want it.
They should be forced,to change it to record what you want when you want it.
It's blatant false advertising. There are going to be a lot of disgruntled
new customers, crying in there beer.

Yeah there is one out at the moment.. one of the "satisfied customers" says something like 'If I'd known how easy it was to take out life insurance I would have done it 6 months ago!'.

Umm isn't that a good thing that he didn't take it out earlier? I mean he obviously didn't need it..

Neighbor has gone to Vic for a couple of weeks so I've borrowed his Austar box in payment for looking after his animals.

We sat down last night and started to watch exactly the same program repeats that we first watched in 2001-2004, except now he gets to pay good money to get all the same commercials I get on FTA.
Over time they just move programs into different packages and repeat them again, So if you're on the cheapest package a lot of the old repeats will be new to you.

90% of new programs made in the last 2 years were el cheapo reality tv programs that's why they don't have any half decent shows to add to packages
