Default "No Signal" after recent box upgrade

I have iQ and since they updated the box software when i use the EPG to choose a channel it says no signal.
I then have to restart the box.

One it starts up again if i punch in a specific channel (501 for example) it works fine but if i then use the EPG to choose 501 it says no signal and im forced to reboot.

Any ideas as it was working fine before the software upgrade id assume its got to do with that, anyone else suffer same problems?

    Thanks

I don't know the actual reason, but as there are a lot of changes happening with channels being moved to D3 etc, it's possible the EPG and the channel numbers for the matching transponder aren't matching up, hence it's looking for a signal that's not there at the moment.

I'm having similar problems. Just curious, do you have the two lnb connections plugged into the IQ ? The IQ1 boxes that i'm experiencing difficulties with are those that only had one lnb cable plugged in during the update early yesterday morning, others are unaffected.
Seems to work ok if both lnb cables plugged in and 2nd cable then removed after a bit - Something to do with the update ??? Will have a better idea later tonight anyways. Any thoughts ?

With your lnb cable, whatever tuner you had it plugged into (tuner 1 or 2) when the update happened, change it.. You should get pics straight away, may have to do a forced reboot also.. Had something to do with the update.. Any luck ?

I do only have 1 cable from LNB to IQ box as was the case during the upgrade.
As for the swapping of the cables,
I tried that but its still no good, so at the moment i can search channels by scrolling up and down or bu manually entering the channel number.

My next check will be new 2xLNB and while im there run 2 cables to the box instead of 1

Sorry, should of explained it better..
After swapping the lnb cable as outlined in my prior post, after say 10 secs max, change it back - You may have to repeat this from time to time as i think everytime the box updates, such as last night (17/11) around 9pm or so, you'll lose pics and have to repeat the process.
The downside apart from messing about with the lnb cable from time to time is also that you may have probs with the epg display info and pics on the help channel.
One tuner seems to facilitate pics whilst the other appears to serve primarily the epg info and channel 999.

No need to buy duel lnb , just fit a 2 way splitter for $7 dollars behind your box, after the recent upgrade the iq boxes need to have 2 inputs plugged in
also needs to have a 10700 lnb for all channells
    regards

    just plain wrong mate

you need a dual frequency /twin output lnb not a splitter
to feed 2 inputs of an iq
    Dm500, DM5620, DM600 x2, DM7000 x1, DM7020, DM7025, DM800, VU+DUO and a partridge in a pear tree

Absolutely wrong. That would only give H or V, depending which box is on the Power Pass of the splitter, on both STBs.

Someone Frigging! change DA setting in your IQ box from 10.700 GHz to 11.300 ghz (becoz u got DA 11.300 lnb in your dish)..
Now after the upgrade over the air, the box went to default of 10.700..that's why "THERE'S NO SIGNAL AFTER THE UPGRADE!!!!"..

My LNB is a 10700 with a single input to the IQ box and lost all channells after the upgrade, the splitter got all my channells back , anyway it could be a different problem to what others are experiencing

Please tell us how you are able to get H channels on one tuner and V channels on the other at the same time with a splitter from a single LNB/cable?

Is this a full genuine Foxtell installation or a 'Home Brew' self install ??

The splitter will get you the epg program info, help channel and possibly the hard drive feautes (pause, rewind, record,etc..) back - if you lost it. Much the same as plugging in an IQ2 with only one lnb cable. As Beer said, I'm very curious also to learn how you managed to get pics on the Vertical channels ? Channels 7,9 10, SBS, all ABC channels, CNBC, Box Office pay per view etc.... To quote Pauline, please explain ????
