I take it you've tried blue button > software management > remove software?
If there's nothing else left in the 'remove' list there should be plenty of room for you to install CCcam.
My DM500 says there is not enough room to install CCcam 2.0.5
I am using PLI iolate Framebuffer (I think)
I currently have deleted all other Cams except newcamd,
it used to run with newcamd & CCcam 1.7.1 (or CCcam 2.0.0) no problems,
I have tried a manual install, but not successful,
& I reboot from the STB menu,
are there any more files I can delete somewhere to increase the free space ?
I remember on Gemini 4.1, I somehow deleted some games & it increased the free space, (but can't remember how I did It)
Your thoughts appreciated,
Cheers

Do a factory reset and start again.

Hey OSIRUS
I run PLi Maxvar with new tuner/framebuffer images, on my clients.
I install the Matrix Black Basic skin and remove all others.
Install Cccam 2.0.4.
Once my channel map is installed it leaves me 54% free in the var.
U can check under the dreambox setting menu.
they always run like a dream!

Let us know how you go mate
OSIRUS (13-11-09)
is it possible to telnet in, and delete the games (if you have any installed by default is'nt tetris/pacman installed), and before reboot/restart download 2.0.5.
I am not sure if this is is correct, as I seem to recall NOT being able to do this on a 500, i also vaguely remember being able to delete /tmp dir for a lil extra space.
sorry not very helpful I think I was in the same boat once. buggered if I can recall what I did...

If you feed ducks at a pond, chances are your bound to feed a goose or two without even knowing it.
Telnet in & issue the following 2 commands:
df
will show you filesystem details - used, free space.
cd /var
du -a
will show you which files and directories are taking up the space.
Thanks guys, all Good now, & All good replies,
Thanks emm, I did a Factory Reset on the Dreambox,Originally Posted by emm
This removed all configuration data, including bouquets, services, satellite data....etc,
But left the Image,
(I have also heard that it is not a good idea to continually re-flash the STB, & it is better to change or re-install the cams)
It then restarted, & I did a set up from scratch, (just follow the prompts),
I then installed newcamd 6.10b & config file,
& then installed CCcam 2.05 & config file,
& now still have over 25% free space, & running like a new one,
& it is set up the way I want It
Thanks emm, worked a treat
Cheers
