Default Fast Flashing Green LED on DM500S?

Has anyone experienced a fast flashing green LED on their DM500s. Apparently this happened after the operator had the unit switched off from power for a week then repowered the unit up.
I have tried dreamup. Dreamup see the unit but the unit will not repond therefore no flash button.
    Any suggestions?

I got that flashing green light after having the DM500s plug out during a weekend away. I suspected a faulty power supply, but I just unplugged it again for a while and it came back after repowering.

Maybe my power supply is on the edge, and this fault is intermittent, but it has been OK since then (over 2 weeks ago).

It is definitely not the external supply. Unless you are referring to the internal circuit board.

Yes i did. Also put a different DM with that particular PS and that DM worked fine. If it's H/W it has to be the circuit board. I was hoping it may just be software but as explained dreamup see the box but DM will not communicate back

Bloody hell fix-my-problem! You sure do have some problems, don't you

Now we know why you chose your user name it.... It makes me shudder - I have relitives like you

I might have to start calling you Errol, after that famous Tassie actor who f*ucked every thing he touched

Lets see - You joined two days ago, jumping in the deep end with a DM800, then crashed it & couldn't flash it back, then the DM800 remote doesn't work with the images you manged to flash to it... Now we've fried a dm500...

Are we starting to see a pattern here?

I'm sort of glad you didn't buy them from me

As for your current flashing problem, try another PC. Somtimes the chipsets running the com ports can have compatability issues, and trying another PC can be the fastest way around the problem

LOL been playing with DM500's now for several years. Sold over a hundred of these. To date all DM's returned to me which has only been a few have been fixed. Usually just require reflashing. This one has me stuck.

As for the DM800, stupid me too excited, though it was similar to a DM500. Well I was wrong. Everything now fine except remote. As you no chinese support from manufacturer is useless. Even with my staff base there it's hard. Forum is your best luck.

Thanks anyway I understand why you think I'm a newbie. Obviously my problems aren't easy as so far no solutions.

Wow you sold over a 100 of them!

Now you are asking us for help and you are a clone dealer. I am showing my support for you by walking away from your posts very quickly and I suggest others do the same. What a cheek!

There are real DM dealers on here that have supported this site for many years - look at the top of this sub forum for an indication.

    At this
Dreambox Discussion and unofficial support for Dream Multimedia's Linux based Dreambox. Includes DM500 clones.

No-one is pressured into helping here. Help is optional rudeness is not required.

This is a first time problem for me. Search over google and various forums comes up empty. Again only help if you want.

When joe blogs buys a clone, as demonstrated over a thousand times in this sub forum I am more than happy to help.

But when a dealer with a such a demanding name of fix-my-problem asks as joe blogs and then declares himself as a clone dealer, I vote with my feet and if this is rude, so be it.

You sell boxes to people you can not even support. I feel sorry for your customers and hope they vote the same way. At least the clone dealers in this forum declare it up front, unlike yourself.
