It's not the image, either yr db is faulty or the power supply is.
Hi all,
I seem to get this problem with every image I install at least once. Woke up this morning, turned on the TV, DM500 (PLi Jade 3) still showing ShowComedy (good), go to press 'info' and the OSD freezes, no response from remote. Ok, never mind, pictures still coming through, it could be epg.db on mount loading. Wait 5 mins. Nothing. Go to web-if, click Shutdown > Reboot, picture pauses and doesn't reboot. Arg! Pull the power out of box.
Now it just inifnitely loops on the Think Green boot screen over and over. I've tried Googling for a solution but I can't find anything. This is a fresh image, with only some minor EPG and CAM plugins installed, with 1 mounted drive. This isn't the first time it's happened, either. Other Jade installs have done this and from memory the only solution for me at the time was to reflash. Screw that! At this rate I will need to reflash on a monthly bloody basis.
Does anyone have any experience with this, and what did you do to solve it?

I've had the same issue on multiple 500's..
I just reflashed..
Hmm.. could be the database. Doubt it's the power supply - I've had the problem on two different DM500's.
It might be something I'm doing with every install. Usually I only have OzTiVo/SQL, Ngrab, CCcam, NewcamD and the X-Line skin installed on these boxes. There's absolutely no way at all to pin point it as it happens so randomly. 2 days ago it happened when I rebooted after changing mount settings. Today it happened just by pressing "info".. got me stumped!
Bugger it, I'm going to reflash now, but it'll unexpectantly happen again soon. I'll experiment this time and drop X-Line from the equation to see if that helps.
make sure you do a flash erase before flashing.

Flash TWICE for good measure.
Power supply is next bet, especially if your still using origional.

Done and done. We'll see how it goes this time.
During setup I discovered an LNB issue with my original C1 dish. It was very blocky then faded to about 33% SNR. Changed to another dish and the problem is gone. Don't know if it could be related to the boot loop issue, but certainly worth noting.
Thanks for the help fellas
Is it a clone ?
They're both from SatTronics, so I presume they aren't.
