I am interested in upgrading my One XL if possible to include Spoken Street Names & Lane Guidance. It currently has installed Navcore 8.010, Boot 5.3026, OS 190943 & Australia Map v720.1868. If anyone has tips on how to proceed with an upgrade, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to DownUnder I have upgraded my TomTom One XL to include test to speech, but I am know finding that the spoken route instructions are delayed and hence are out by about 25 metres. (you can be around the corner already when the TomTom tells you to turn).
Is this problem a result of running a full function navcore on 32Mb unit?
Is it possible to upgrade the RAM?
Unit: TomTom One XL model# 4S00.006
Navcore: 8.412 (1236/090403) OS: 303268
32 MB Ram (free: 5.9 MB)
GPS v1.20, Boot 5.3026
Map v 840.2562
You still have just enough free RAM to use the computer voice.
Is the map moving smooth or more in a stop and go motion?
Is the problem the same with a normal voice instead of using a computer voice?

Downunder, thanks for responding, the problem occurs with the computer voices are enabled. With computer voice (Simon) enabled the frre RAM drops to 4.3MB. The map moves smoothly but does a lot of route recalculation with me deviating from the prescribed route. I do have IQ routes enable along with an active RDS TMC traffic receiver. I will appreciate your thoughts.
The 8.412 I posted is optimised for the 32MB models.
But I never got feedback from someone with a TMC receiver...
The recalculations are normal and sometimes a pain if the route is pretty long ,but not much that can be done...
The only othe option would be to stay with the original Navcore offered be Home (and with that no IQ routes and Computer voices).
There are other Navcores to try ,but most of them are for 64MB models only and it would be a guessing game for me to give you any advise which one would work.
You could check in to GPSU and try different Navcores ,but I would not know which would be better than the 8.412 -sorry

Just a thought but have you got any or many POI's displayed on the map !!
If so de-select them from being displayed as this will slow everything down dramatically.
Cheers.
i had a lot of poi's showing on mine, it almost killed the unit lol.
going extreamly slow
turned them off, then back to normal !!
Can someone help me with a latest keygen patcher for the maps??
yes we can help you.... because thats what forums are for.... but you need to tell us what you need help with ????

ive finally updated my TT one v2 (bluetooth & SD card)
using the above links
840 map
8412 navcore
initially got the same message as posted earlier
of map not able to be used
reloaded the keygen and seemed to work then
all was fine until i uploaded my mapsettings.cfg (from the old version)
then it had that same
kept rebooting in a loop
i deleted it and then it booted fine
and tt home was ok also
using PNA-tt infotool.. says its a PNA: one 2nd edition device: XL340-IQ routes
so the look is a little different to what im used to
when connecting TThome and error appears saying
to use home, you need to install the correct TT application....
