    Default Flash chips

If everything goes wrong and it is not possible to flash Dreambox 500s via Jtag, there is still one possibility that can really help.
Unsolder flash chip and program it on an universal programmer. And here is my question:
Is the content of the flash chip the same for all Dm 500 mainboard revisions or does it also depend on a mainboard and I can not read the content from one Dm500 and program/write it to a flash chip that will be used with a mainboard from another manufacturer?

    Thanks
    Ja.

absolutely correct - keep the remote and power supply as cheap spares and you are in front (that glass is half full I say)
