    Default Dreambox 'listen' port

Is it possible to tell the dreambox to listen on more than one port ?

    eg. 12000 and 13000 simultaneously ?

If so, is it one command line or two in the CFG ?

Normally you would have 2 separate lines, as far as i know.

12000 - do you mean to have cccam listen on two ports ?
nothing about it in the config - I doubt that it is possible

Yes, the reason is I have a Dual wan setup, therefore I have 2 modems into one router.
I could if possible give my clients a twin connection option, which would help if one connection is down or with load balancing the server.

However i'm not sure whether to point to one port, or to setup the server to listen on two ports, which may not be possible ?

I've discussed this on another forum, and some helpful advice has been given which I'm going to test.
Thanks for any feedback if anyone else has actually done what I'm trying to do, please give some input.

CCcam or any other emus do not have routing functionalities so it will only listen to one port. Even if you config or have already configured your client boxes to connect to different ports, the router itself can map the traffic to the port that cccam is listening on.

Eg: if cccam is listening on port 15000 and some boxes try to connect to port 12101, and others 12103, you may configure the router to map and forward all traffic to port 15000. This can also be done with Windows ICS, but it locks up when you have a large number of packets. Its best to grab a linksys and chuck linux on it, or find an old pc and use open source gateway () which i recommend anyways.

ok so you have two modems into one router - most routers only have one WAN port ?
do the modems have their own external IP ?
if they do it should be possible to have each of those accept port 12000 for the router / dream inside LAN
or am I missing something here

    Yes, you are correct.

Some routers have dual wan ports mainly used for backup/load balancing.

He only has one SUBNET. So all he has to do is configure the router to port forward requests from both WAN PORTS/IPs to the single internal server. Infact, if he setups up basic port forwarding on the router, it will automaticlly forward traffic from both WAN port to the desired internal IP.

The basic answer was to route specific port traffic on the two modems to the one port. This i'm going to test in the next week when i get chance to configure.

look at the linksys/cisco RV042 (google is your friend) which put two WAN connections into one LAN connection and they work very well.
