Default Looking for Arabic-speaking satellite installers in Sydney.

Some of my family members are moving to Sydney (from Lebanon) and need to get a satellite dish installed to access Arabic TV channels. My family doesn’t speak English - which is why we need Arabic speaking satellite installers.

Does anyone know of any Arabic-owned satellite TV stores that my family members can visit? Or, can someone recommend any Arabic-speaking installers?

    Thanks so much!

    Abdul, Canada

Ku band (small dish size 60-80cm) pay provider, "UBI World TV" here (Optus D2):-

And here, "MySat" pay provider (Intelsat 8Ku):-

    * A couple of Ku band 'small-dish' arabic FTA's are carried on Optus D2 and IntelSat8. See the respective Lyngsat list for those channels (Ishtar etc). The letter "F" on the Lyngsat lists designates 'free_to_air' = no subscripton required.

Ku frequencies (small dish) are those bearing 5 numerals, C band (big dish) have 4!

C band free-to-air has mostly government Arabic stations on AsiaSat 5 that are received well here in Australia (2,3m-3.0m size). Palapa D also has the Al Manar channel.

    AsiaSat 5:-

    Palapa D (See 4080 detail)

It's not channels he's looking for .. it's installers or stores.

More English speaking Installers around so i suggest that they get somebody to interpret their needs.

Are you also looking for an Arabic-owned Supermarket, News Agent, Hairdresser, Accountant ,Lawyer?

The OP asked a question about arab speaking installers , not what his family should or shouldnt be doing in regards to learning the english language. If you want to debate migration and the english language , go and do it in General Chat.

    Back to the topic please.
