    Default DM500s Ku & C Band dish

A friend of mine has asked my help to connect his
Ku band & C Band dish using Diseqc/4x4 Multiswitch to Dm500s

    His setup is as follows

C Band dish which is driven by actuator
Ku band currently is fixed position. He wants to buy H-H motor to automate ku band dish as well.

By connecting 2 lnb inputs into mutiswitch is it possible
to drive the H-H motor of kuband dish using DM500s receiver.

When i went into DM500s setup mode it is currenlty setup as "Non standardConfiguration..." do i need to change this one to Diseqc?

No your diseqc settings are under the LNB settings. ie LNB1, 2 etc.

    Leroy,
I tried as you suggested when i tried driving the hh motor using DM500s i got a message the motor moving to 156E the message stayed for a while i rebooted the machine it went to default position 152E then when i tried moving the motor again
the SNR stayed at 65% AGC 0 BER 0.I tried rebooting DM, removed the diseqec settings now i don't get any signal lock at all as the AGC remains 0%.

Don't know if i have broken the DM by trying diseqc.Any ideas?

sounds like no power to the LNB from the DM500. Is this turned on? If so you should get a meter on to see if you are getting 14V/18V when switching between TPs with different polarities.

have you confirmed in your lnb settings that the LNB Voltage is set to H/V and also measuered the output with a multimeter? There are a couple of threads on this issue you'll have to search for. It's prob easier to by a new one at the price they are now.
