Default dm800HD-S can it read irdeto 2 cards ?

I read mixed statements in the forum, can someone please confirm if inbuilt reader is able to read ird 2 cards ? I tried few times but it doesn't seem to work. Any special settings to configure it to read the card from front slot.

    thanks,

Confirmed, with a DM800 you can read ir2 cards in the internal card reader.

    thanks,
It can read Irdeto 2 cards. You need to load an EMU (emulator) for your box to read the card. It may also need to be configured. One of the more popular EMU's is Cccam. You should be able to download the latest version via your receiver if connected to the internet. There is a configuration file located in /var/etc/cccam.cfg on your box. You will need an ftp client to get access to your receiver to access this config file. There are cccam config files that have been posted if you can't work it out.
I don't know how 'dumb' you are so ask more questions if needed.

Have you configured cccam (or whatever emulator you choose) correctly? The dreams require a bit of configuring to get them to work.

Edit - Leroy beat me, gotta be quick around here.

On all open embedded (OE) boxes both E1 & E2 version, like the DM600, DM7020, DM7025, DM800 and the DM8000 the CCcam.cfg file is found in the /etc/ directory

    /etc/CCcam.cfg

Tried your config with an ir2 card (select), worked for few minutes then blank screen. Then I switched back to scam and all worked fine again. cccam 213. Do I have to load an older version of cccam? Thanks, I am a newbie, too.

No in your case stay with SCAM, although SCAM is the best ir2 / most sub card solution the OP asked about CCcam, so that is why I am trying to help with CCcam.
