    Default NewCS Priority over CCCam?

Hey all.. DM500-S with Irdeto card in. NewCS linux sever for NDS card on network. CCcam on DM with peers.

I have the NDS card running in a newcs linux server with some clients connected.. when choosing a local nds channel on the DM500, CCcam uses a remote clients NDS card in preference to my local one unless i am using a channel my peers dont subscribe to. I have a superior channel package to my peers also.

Is there anyway to tell CCCam to prioritize and use the local NewCS server 1st? or is this done on card response time?

    Cheers

Good Question - I have had this question in my mind as well at times.

It will be nice if there is a way to prioritize the connections

CCcam.prio (if the file doesn't exist, you'll need to create it)

Assuming your 2 services have different caids, e.g. NDS = 090b and IR = 0604.

Add to the beginning of the file the following single entry, no tabs, or spaces at the beginning:

    P: 090b, 0604

This should prioritise NDS over IR. Adjust to suit your requirements

    Cheers,

    Jim.....

What are the options if one is using the same caids e.g. only NDS ?

The answer to this is in the original CCcam.cfg near the bottom of the file, with real examples.
