Unhappy NewCS Server + CCCam Client

    Ok fellas,

Long time member, almost a year I'd say. (Ok not so long.)

I don't ask too many questions on these forums as I tend to take the "Google is your friend" and read and learn approach, but on this occasion, I have spent far too much time on the issue below.

    My Setup:

1 x DM600PVR (NewCS Card Server & CCcam Client) <-- I have removed client for time being as I just want to see connectivity between DM500-S and server. User: HomeDM600
    1 x DM500-S (CCcam Client) - User: HomeDM500

All Web Interfaces working all cccam N: Lines have been doubly checked, I have checked newcs.xml that many times now that I know it back to front and can tell what's there at a glance...and when I connect to my NewCS Web Interface I can see the following:

    Users Status:

    Newcamd Port: 15000 - CAID: 0629 - Reader: 0 (Lower Slot)
    Status -> 00d 0037
    OK ECM: 37
    Bd ECM: 1
    EMM: 3028
    HostName: I.P. of DM500S
    Client: CCcam
    Spdr: Off
    AU: on
    SO: Off

I can't for the life of me get pics on my DM500-S.

Just on another note when I run CCcam as Server and Client with respective C: and F: lines, I have no issues whatsoever apart from occasional pixelation and freezing.

Hence the reason I am trying to get NewCS working and take advantage of the caching functionality that is built into it.

Any help would be great, I'm sure it is something simple stupid, but I've tried everything.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

    Thanks in advance.

hi m8, you are using A UBI card which cannot be shared with newcs. use cccam 2.1.3 both a server and client. i haven't tested my self but i was told it works.

This card has ant-sharing countermeasure enabled. so you will experience glitches and freezes when zapping.

    Regards,

    JTC

    Default Zapping.

Pardon my ignorance, but when you say zapping, what do you mean?

it means when you are flicking through the channels.

for instance sake, if your box 1 is watching NEWTV, and box 2 changes to MSLT CH, box 1 will start glitching.

    Post Anti ECM Countermeasure.

Is there a config setting to disable updates from the client box? Or some other setting to reduce ECM overload?

    CCcam Client/Server that is...

above there it only works on the following boxes DM600, 7020, 500+, 7025, 800 and 8000.. Not on the 500, 56x0 or the 7000 boxes.

Post SCam Softcam & SCam Config

    Hey Jonc,

About to embark on SCam, however I have a few questions:

    1. What is the most reliable release version available?
    2. Do you have sample config files?
    3. Does SCam work as both Client and Server? & finally
    4. Have you been able to get NewCS and SCam working with this Provider card.

I know from previous posts (also confirmed by gw1) that it is impossible to run NewCS in the mix at all with this provider card due to ecm countermeasures.

Nevertheless if SCam is more reliable than CCcam then I am happy to move my boxes over to use this softcam, as long as it supports a client/server configuration...

I only have 2 boxes in the house, so no biggie, but I do see some freezing occasionally.

I also get frequent freezing in the server box that hosts the card running CCcam 2.1.3 so I'm thinking it's the softcam that's the culprit.

Thanks for your help so far, much appreciated.

    Post My thoughts exactly

Thanks Leroy, I was worried you might say that.

It appears that scam can handle a client/host & newcs type configuration but not for the DM500 & DM600 just yet.

It seems at this point the only option is to stick with CCcam as it works and maybe tweak the config settings.

Is it worth overclocking the card reader?

Just on another note, I'm expecting a Duolabs CAS 3 Plus interface reader shortly. Can this make a difference?

    Thanks again.

    Cheers

As mentioned above, if you are trying to share a UBI card then you are still up the creek!

SCAM? No idea on foxtel I use CCcam 1.7.1 for mine (all 6 of them) only and never tried SCAM on the boxes I have there. I must get to that one day read my next visit.

But it work on NDS networks up this way for sure (see my location - way north of you on the other side of the equator)

Pardon? The DM600 will share off the DM500 (or visa versa) anytime mate with SCAM, always has since version 3.29 which works on all boxes and there are some sample configs on here to do just this (search is your friend).

The later version allow you to share newcamd/newcs and CCcam servers as well, but will not work on the 500. The 500 could always share between SCAM servers.

But I am was off topic, so lets get back to newcs & CCcam shall we.

Thumbs down NewCS Server + Mgcamd Client

I guess the initial topic is now pointless as we know and have proven that newcs & cccam will not work with this provider card.

However I am still yet to see your claimed proof that newcs & mgcamd will do it. Who wants to see him prove it?

    Well you got me?

So far in this thread I have spoken of CCcam 1.7.1 and Scam (use control F and search the thread - you will see I am right), so what does mgcamd have to do with it any of it?

Although to put my two cents worth in on the subject (again not related to the original topic) this combination works a ripper on the irdeto countermeasures up here.
