If it's a clone, I would say faulty tuner..had the same problem...still waiting for a replacement tuner. took the tuner out of my genuine dm800 and put it in the clone and it worked fine..
I have a dm800s vertical and horizonal SD will work no problems but soon as I go to a HD channel I get a tuner failed error and the signal drops off the zero.
Its a 10700 lnb and LOF,LOH, threshhold are all set the that.
After I get the tuner fail error I usually have the repower the box if I want to go back the working SD channelsl.
Is it lnb ? Faulty tuner ?
Any ideas.

Its a clone. So its possible to have SD working and HD failing then ? I even got an image from Joffaa and the same thing happened so I though it maybe lnb or tuner. It looks like some kind of switching problem.

replace the tuner, it is an old known issues with clones.
It is a hobby so mileage varies

I have seen few of the channels assigned with incorrect TP & SR details.Do a manual scan of the HD frequencies & then check if that has cured the problem.

Hey.
I have a clone DM800 with a similar problem.
LNB settings are the same as Gado too, but its a dual O/P Sharp LNB
I cant scan any DVB S2 transponders, but all the SD one work fine and I get lock on them.
I dont get tuner failed like Gado does and I can just zap back to an SD channel and all is good.
Does it sound like a faulty tuner?????
If so, where do I get one from?
as jonc said... known problem with tuner... it can be repaired yourself most the time.
Yeah I had the Chinese send me another Tuner. Wouldnt mind repairing the other one though Toor

what REV does the tuner say on it ??
Gado.
Did the replacement tuner have any differences compared to the orig one that came with your box?
Rev number too???
And Does it actually work reliably now?...... I had to ask!
Im trying to get one out of them too...but they want me to send the box back to them for repair..... with some interesting and deceptive instructions for RMA return!...
Well.... I'm pretty sure I fixed the tuner.
I now get signal on the HD transponders and they scan and have been added to the bouquet with an SNR 12.9, AGC99%, BER 0.
Some of the joints looked suss under the microscope at work so.....
I replaced everysurface mount electrolytic capacitor on the plug in tuner PCB and one non surface mount, and resoldered the tuner pins along with a few other joints around the PCB. Q1, Q2, Q3 Transistors. ( I read about problems in this area.)
I had a similar issue at work with prototype PCB's from china with really crappy capacitors that were supposed to be Panasonic brand, but were poor quality copies that tested at completely different values than what was printed on them.
I cant fully check it, as my subscription isnt HD yet.
Gado.... maybe this could fix your original tuner problem?
