you can go an buy a conductive pen
you simply draw the tracks again , these things are great , but I would look at getting it fixed permanently .
If you have damage that is not too bad , use a fibreglass pen to get the laquer off the end of the tracks to expose copper , with some flux you can then link the ends of the damaged tracks with wire as a jumper , use something like 28swg enamel coat wire
can you take a pic of the damage and post it ?

but i forgot when i posted
    i turned on the power
and the tracks were fried about 3 of them
so there is a very good chance thats it dead anyway
    ill try the pen
one track has curled one is missing and one is half missing

will dick smith have the pen?

I hate being a pessimist but I don't think there's much hope for that card.

Even if you can repair the edge-connector tracks they are unlikely to be reliable and the card will probably do weird things - if not immediately, within a few months.

    Mmmm easily done I guess.

Where you could also come unstuck is if the tracks aren't perfectly aligned and one of them shorts out to the next tab in the socket, you could potentially have a short on one of the power rails which may or may not blow tracks off the mobo or something equally nasty.

My mate's computer recently Chernobyled itself - the power supply did something weird and took out the mobo, CPU and the hard drive. I was quite amazed at the carnage. The HD just makes clonking sounds now.

For the sake of the rest of your PC I'd toss that card and chalk it up to experience.
