Try changing parity to 'ODD or EVEN'

<node>COM5</node>
<parity>none</parity> <reset>normal</reset>
<export>Yes</export>
Also, nice to see your username and password in the file. OMG the port as well. Gee's what could we do with this.
get rid of it.

Try ripping out some references from your user definition and defining your user(s) as:
Code:<user> <name>user1</name> <password>pass1</password> <au>on</au> </user>

hi guys thanks for the replies.i ve tryed to change the parity to "even" and "odd" but still no joy.the thing is i ve tried newcs version from 1.18 to 1.60 but none of them succeed.i am missing something.something small, but apparently very important.could that be the fact i use cas3+ or something with my windows xp.any suggestion are welcomed.thank you
I'm not familiar with a cas3. I gather it's a usb connection? I prefer serial ports for readers like the Jaycar etc.

I would say he has the newcs Server working 100% even with the 2 errors in the log file (which has been addressed but not required as it works even with these errors)
1. It has read his card (irdeto 2 version 4.1 on provider 604) and has read the the correct keys in keymanCode:[ 18:38:16 ] [ ATR ] T=14 1etu=104.17us Guardtime:17etu WWT:9600etu [ 18:38:16 ] [ ATR ] Historical bytes: I R D E T O A C S V 4 . 1 [ 18:38:16 ] [ Loader ] Init Irdeto card [ 18:38:16 ] [ Phoenix ] Setting parity to NONE on node COM5 [ 18:38:16 ] [ Phoenix ] Setting 2 Stop bits on node COM5 [ 18:38:16 ] [ Phoenix ] Setting baud to 9600 [ 18:38:16 ] [ Keyman ] Adding key 1 type 0 on Provider 000000 for caid 0000 ID=1540 [ 18:38:16 ] [ Keyman ] Adding key 3F4EE type 0 on Provider 000001 for caid 0000 ID=1540 [ 18:38:16 ] [ Keyman ] Adding key A09F7 type 0 on Provider 000001 for caid 0001 ID=1540 [ 18:38:16 ] [ Loader ] Card 0604 on port COM5 ready [ 18:38:16 ] [ Loader ] Starting Newcamd Server on port 15000
2. But there are NO users logged into his server, so yes the newcs is working but will not give pictures until a user logins in.
As an aside; there may also depending on the 604 provider (there are many of them) you may have other issues if the card is a paired card.

I have a PC dedicated as a server. Dual core 3gighz, it runs XP.
I have a CAS 3+ plugged in and can run it straight through without 3rd party software (Duolabs) or with the 3rd party software, I can change my 6mhz, 3mhz etc. Depends on what my config file is set.
So here it is. Oh, my passwords and usernames etc have been changed to protect the ............

This works for me. I run an Irdeto colored card in this. My NDS does also work, but I choose to use my DM or Occy for that.
Cheers, Saintaholic
Probably a really stupid question, but can you program a card with your CAS3+ with 3rd party software (eg:GUP) and having it connected to your com port.
cause that's how I do it. Dont use the USB to read. You probably could but will need to tweak your setup and your PC to get it going. Not worth the hassle.
Cheers, Saintaholic
thank you guys for all replies.it is sorted now.as Jonc guessed the server was working from the beggining but no client was connected to it. now is running but freezes every 10 sec or so.is that something to do with newcs configurations or the fact that i use laptop wireless connected to router also in order to run the server continiously does my laptop has to be switched on all the time.thanks
