    you can download it.
QVGA : black and blue ,with and without Bluetooth
VGA : only black ,with and without Bluetooth

Don't have a changelog ,but afaIk it works fine on the new HTC touch models.

colour doesn't matter, just find out what res your devices uses... then google "what is VGA and QVGA and you'll understand"

Ok ,to avoid 500 more questions :
    VGA = 640x480
Qvga = Quarter pixel VGA - I know the name is not 100% correct and should be used for high definition ,but that's how it is!
So if your display supports 640x480 pixel (or more) use VGA - for everything below (like 320x240) use QVGA

Have you started the setup from the PC or directly on the Navman?
If you start the setup with a filemanager on the Navman it should install -how did you unlock your Navman?

try putting the cab file in the internal memory and install from there, rather then the storage card ...

maybe your WINCE is not setup to allow to install cab files (something to do with the regisry .... mio may have blocked that from the registry (im only pulling this out of my arse, but i can't think of anything else...)

i have a feeling its blocking cab files from installing... i could be wrong, but i tried to install a CAB file to unlock my mio268 once, and it didnt allow me...

see if you can find another cab file (like a small app or something) and see if you can install that)

Maybe you are trying to install the wrong version of tomtom.
I think the version you are trying to install is not for windows ce.
Head over to: and look in the Tomtom section for Tomtom 7.910.9185 for PNA with WINCE 5.0

    Good one NRT !!
Should have thought about that earlier - Navman uses CE and WM software will most likely not work on CE systems.
But a CE5 version was posted in here as well

For me it seems like your Windows system is not complete and you might need a few files (dll's most likely) - you would have to use Google for that as I don't have a Windows PDA to try and search.

i agree, sometimes win ce can be stripped of some files and componants as it does not need it

Yes you are right it needs a few extra dll files on the navman to make it run.

    Firstly thanks for the links.

I'm using a Touch HD with built in GPS.
I currenty have 7.910 and will be upgrading soon.

Can you please tell me the difference between with BT and without?
Is that for people who need to use and external BT GPS sensor?

No it is just that some device play up if the BT part is included in Tomtom.
So for devices with internal GPS I would use the version without BT anyway.
If you have to use an external GPS that needs a BT connection you use the version with BT.

On most devices both versions should work fine.

I have loaded the version with BT and it seems to be working fine with the 840.2561 maps.

Is it safe to assume that 7.916 and 840.2561 are the latest available in Aus for my device?
