Default Can a Tait 2000 series trunking radio be used as normal 2-way?

I have the opportunity to buy a Tait 2040 trunked radio at a good price.
Does anyone know if it will work as a normal 2-way radio? Is the programming process the same as the non-trunked radios?

Default -can-tait-2000-series-trunking-radio be used as a 2way radio

Hi yes you can use the tait radio asd a 2way radio all you have to do is with your programme cable just go to programe menu and set up your radio as a conventional channel you can setup six channels on the radio , What you have to do is make sure what frequency the 2040 radio is using then you can set the radio up for conventional chanels to go to your convensional channel you just have to dail 101 0r 102 up to 106 to axcess your conventional channels
