Default Satellite Receiver Pin-codes and Error Codes

I noticed in another thread that someone was inquiring about a satellite receiver pin-code.

I have uploaded an archive containing many such pin-codes for those who require it to

Sometimes a pin-code for a completely different receiver will work so try them all if necessary.

Of course, if somebody has changed the original pin-code to something of their own choosing, you're up the proverbial creek.

I've also uploaded a list of satellite receiver error codes to as these might be useful to some members.

The archives are quite small - only a few kilobytes in length.

Talking Extensive master STB pin codes.

Among many other posts for pin codes, I've consolidated them in this post.

It is 48 KB and far more extensive than yours.
It does pay to do a search.

Sorry, I'll see what I can do. That is a big problem with off forum file servers.
Many that are posted here suffer the same fate.

The file has now been replaced and both links now point to new post in the same thread.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

one thought on user changed pin codes - is to force a factory reset - unfortunately some of this is hidden behind the pin code - catch 22
maybe a firmware re-install would also wipe pin codes ...

    Ahh! Good for you, beer4life.
Sorry. Just goes to show that the old adage is correct - one can't win 'em all!

Still - somebody might find the Error Codes useful.

I seem to remember that sometimes there is a procedure for re-instating the factory default pin-code, when a factory reset is not possible.

A particular model Humax receiver falls into that category, I think.
    Perhaps there are others?

    G'Day Cobber,
There was no offence taken or intended, just an observation.
I've no objection to anyone taking that list and expanding on it, as I've done.
With one proviso, that it is kept sorted as I have done. Easily done in MS Word.
Haven't checked, but if memory serves me correctly, many, if not the majority, are Master Pin Codes or Procedures to reset them.
It really should be updated periodically with the plethora of new boxes that come on the market.
Unfortunately the Tutorials section, for reasons best known to the Management, is not open for that or similar endeavors. The justification escapes me.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".
