Default Help with Strong 4658X box

    Hi Guys.
I have set up Strong box i haven't used for awhile and have a Selectv card in it.
How do i get the tv channels through the Strong box.
I have all the Satellite channels but cant seem to get normal television.
I have unplugged the tv cord and put it directly into the television and i get the channels but once I connected the aerial cord to the back of the strong box i get nothing.
When I hit tv/sat on the remote it shows EU not TV as manual says it should.
I looked through the manual and cant find anything, what am I missing.

    Cheers Max.

The 4658x does not have a terrestrial tuner.

The connection (and sat/tv button on the remote) is for when you are using the RF modulator in the box to connect to your TV's antenna input, which is then tuned into an analogue TV channel on the TV... the same as you can do with a VCR.

Pressing the sat/tv button just switches the terrestrial antenna directly through to the TV.

It saves unplugging the antenna from the TV and swapping over a cable from the sat decoder.

Obviously, you would only have a use for this function if your TV had no A/V inputs and you had to use the antenna-in/tuner option.

    G'Day Cobber,
    Try this,
Your TV must have it's own tuner.
Connect TV Antenna input to your terrestrial antenna.
Connect RF output of Strong to RF input of your TV.
Then it should work as on page 10 " How to Connect ".

You are probably not using the connection shown highlighted.
You may have to disconnect your Video and Audio and tune the TV to the RF output channel of the Satellite Section. (Try it either way.)

    G'Day Cobber,
Certainly not recommended as there would be a good chance of a handy BRICK.
Totally different, the 4663x is PVR with one card slot, whilst the 4658x has a card and cam slot.
Why would you even want to try that?

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

    In a word... No.

    They are entirely different.
