GPS in PC simulation mode

Could anyone please advise me where I can buy a map interactive like a GPS which installs in pc just in simulation mode. I am new in Australia and would want to study all roads before driving. I prefer to learn from my pc at home as the screen is bigger and saving petrol not having to drive around when learning the roads. I heard about IGO8. why dont u use or goolge maps ??

try destinator 9 for PC or sygic for PC, maybe you can plan a rotue and simulate it ?

there is a program called microsoft streets and trips, but i think its usa maps.... its possible you may be able to buy aussie maps ?
