    Default Asiasat 4 Pacific tv

    Hi everyone,
Can someone tell me how big is the dish to get this tv in Oz?
I got a 90cm dish here in Auckland but can't get those channels at all
and when I put my ku band lnb on the 3m mash dish the signal is still
very weak and no signal message keep pop up very often.

What channels/transponders are you trying to receive?

Is the mesh on your 3m dish designed for Ku band?

60cm on the eastern seaboard should work according to

It also reckons 135cm for nz bro - you will need about 37 degree skew.
Might pay to check that transponder is still working too because there's been some reports it being offline in the past fortnight. Also it's DVB-S2 now.

Yes I can watch those channel with my 3m dish , the transponder changed now but the picture is not very smooth(freezing alittle bit) maybe because of my dish not design for ku lnb,so might have to upgrade my dish.
    thanks

Just a thought... is the Ku LNB you are using prime focus, or offset?

You need a prime focus LNB for a prime focus dish.

hi mtv , I just google about the lnb , yes mine one is just a standard lnb for offset dish. will need
to buy the prime focus one but a bit hard to find in NZ site.

Yep.... it would be an offset LNB..... How did you mount it?

It's not just the offset angle that's different, it's the focal point that will vary greatly, so your offset LNB will not be utilising the whole surface area of the 3m dish.

You can get a combination C-band/Ku-band LNB for a prime focus dish.

There's a couple of other members from NZ who may know of local suppliers for you... but there's always online suppliers who will ship from Australia if you can't source one locally.

You may find a larger Ku offset dish will perform well too.

I took the lnb holder from my 60mm dish and screw and glue in the middle of big dish ring , and I have a C/ku band lnb here too but can't get any signal from this bird maybe it's too old or something . will give it another go when I have time.
    thanks
