Now this has screwed me and came out of no where, all of a sudden my oscam on ubuntu has stopped working it seems like it has something to do with my smargo. here is my log. It seems to be working fine for with my Phoenix but now it never works in my smargo, mind you smargo was working for a couple of weeks previously

if the same config was working, log in to your web interface, go to readers and click (from memory yellow looping arrows) Its called reset and reload entitlments. This should fix it.

can this be fixed in the oscam config?

    Problem:
OSCAM crashes after a few hours. Only way to get it to work is to restart OSCAM.

    Symptoms:
While oscam is running it will start to give fake replys (3-4ms). Tested on Ubuntu, Debian and e1. Didnt bother with cygwin as ecm time over 2000 ms.

    Cause:
When a user connects with sychronous mode. (send multiple ecms at once with waiting for the first transaction to finish).

Solution? (other than setting the client to asynchronous mode...)

    Solution :
dload and compile a newer version - I see version=1.00-svn, build #3295 is all back to normal for the time being on 64bit machines.

Cache1 now works as it should on NDS cards - no fakes, but you will have to in some cases add the "ident = " command to oscam.user if you have not already done it.

Mate, normally with smargos, if you reset the PC the address changes of the smartreader device, says 002:002 but use the tool and see what you really are set to, failing that, under webif click on Readers and SCAN USB this will tell you in linux box your smartreader address in most instances.

a mate is still using 3061 this is the best version for him, Im using 3144 seems ok to me and I am testing 3151 at the moment.

The newer versions are a bit flaky and will take time before they are stable with the implementation of the threaded version into the trunk. You will have to simply revert back to an older version and bide your time for a stable release of the latest trunk.

I opened a ticket to get the orange card added to the the atr list however the orange card i was using to test is back with its owner... can someone do me a favour and test version 3280+ with an orange card and supply a log of the startup including tiers so the developers can close the ticket, IF they look correct.

Exactly for the last week it has been totally unstable and unusable, but in the latest build #3295 the WAN times are way down to 235ms - 390ms (normally about 500ms), for me the PPV adds as it should, but early days to say it is great as I have only had it up for a few hours now so still testing.

No segmentation faults, compiles as it should, so worth a look at.

Am glad to see mgcamd works OK, just had another solar outage on another of the nets I use here - no users updating and the logs went very quite - solar outage ends everyone logs back in and back to normal, so I would say this build #3295 is stable on NDS & Irdeto.

compiled this version about two hours ago.
The ecm time is better than all previous version: 180ms avg @8mhz, 169ms lowest.

Is still crashed with CSP in synchronous mode. The workaround is to have multilple connections(users) from CSP in asynchronous mode.

    Since then it hasnt crashed.

Ok here is a silly question.

I have tried a serial Phoenix but normally use a Phoenix USB (wb electronics version) and today after reading all the posts in here, I went and brought and tried a smargo.

I must say for NDS the smargo is a big disappointment after reading all the posts here with the latest 3502 release (compiled here) and some 200ms / 800ms slower than a Pheonix USB and the old 6mhz home brew Phoenix serial reader with the same user load.

On Irdeto there was little difference and the smargo being only 90ms slower so no major issue even under load.

    Now the silly question.

Has anyone else done this little exercise and compared speeds apples for apples? If so what did you find on NDS?

Version 3150 on the dm800 gives ecm times around 270 msec internal slot on Vu+duo same version about 330 msec internal slots I have just bought a smargo when it arrives I will test it but from other reports I have heard it will peform better then the internal slots on both machines.
