Default Sharing a NextG Wireless Connection

This may be a basic question but I am going to ask it anyway.

I have a laptop that I use a USB NextG Wireless connection with.
What I would like to do is to be able to connect another PC (or in my case a Dream Box STB) to the standard ethernet NIC port so I can share the Wireless internet connection.

Surely it is possible - I will look forward to hearing from anyone that has info to offer.

    Thanks in advance

The gizmo you want is a HUAWEI E960 HSDPA Wireless gateway. Apparently the wireless broadband Sim goes in it and then it is either wireless or ethernet cabled to the PCs. I've been asking if anyone can sell me one but no luck so far.

    Default

Alternatively you can use Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)

All you need to do is bridge your network card in the laptop tour your telstra wireless device and set static IP's on the lappy and the dream, using the laptops IP as the gateway and DNS server on the dream.

Here is a link to how to do it in a bit more detail:

PS you need to make sure you use a cross over cable between the dream and the lappy, not a normal network cable.

I run my Next G thru my computer asnd then into the Dlink router into
One of the 4 ethernet outputs and then feed my other pc thru one of the other ethernet outputs.

But this means having 2 PC's running at the same time.
I believe optus and virgin offer a sim card type service
