Default Service Manual for Electrolux Front Loader Washing Machine

I've got a small problem with a EWF1080 Front loader Washing machine,it times out on the first fill of water, gives a E10 code, and reqires a reset button operation to get it to continue filling water and then its alright. I've checked water pressure and had a general look under the bonnet, its either a board fault that has changed a timing thing or a level sensor problem, either way its still works ok after the reset. A service manual would be a real help here to identify things>

Default ewf 1090 electrolux front loader E20 fault error code

IF ANYONE OUT THERE IS SUFFERING THE PAIN OF HAVING THEIR WASHING MACHINE PLAYING UP DUE TO THE E20 CODE ERROR.. I HAVE A SOLUTION FOR YOU YAY!!!!!!!!

WE JUST FIXED OURS YESTERDAY $AVING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN CALL OUT AND REPAIR FEES. ( SMART HUBBY OF MINE) XX

All you have to do is disconnect the power.. lift onto 2 saw horses. Remove the rubber sealed plate at the base( the odd shaped one) and unscrew the drain hose where it meets the front of the washer. the coins will drop out (50c yes) we had four in there .... Reattach the hose.. Replace bottom panel.. then put back on floor.. switch on and presto FIXED 2 people to lift! Hope this helps some people out there!

Using the following test procedure I have managed to get a fault code of E52.

This page, , says it is a fault with the loom, control boards or motor. What doesn't make sense is the thing works (mostly).

The problem I am experiencing is that it seems to get stuck/stall at certain parts of the cycle. As far as I can tell it is happening in the transition from wash to rinse. And at the end of the cycle it is not releasing to door lock. Turn the knob to off and on again and away it goes.

This machine is about 4.5 years old and has worked reasonably hard, average at least a load a day (we are a family of 2Ad+4Ch)

Are there any suggestions of where I should look first?

I had a bit of a look over last night and found a 50c peice in the drain hose and blew to carbon out of the motor.

While I am asking questions, do the pistons that support the drum need maintennance?

Closing the loop on this problem, it was a faulty tacho, Electrolux Aust will only sell whole motors for a couple of hundred. I managed to find a tacho for about $25. This kept the machine going for another year or so.

Since the fault above the cross member which supports the drum failed, the springs wore through it, another $20 fix. And finally a few months ago the door interlock failed and blew the PCB, this is a $200 part, given the age and problems it was time to part ways.

I now have a Siemens washer.

My experience with years of owning front loaders is that the load is most likely out of balance. All that means is perhaps you have a towel that is just a little bit "heavier" in with a pile of light stuff. Does the bowl wobble violently when spin starts? try re- adjusting the load. Worst case it is the bearing, which should be evident throughout the entire cycle, not just spin.
