With the introduction of AACS Component Video will not be allowed on any Blu-Ray Player as at the end of 2010. Also new discs with an Image Constraint Token will restrict component output to SD only. This will potentially cause great problems with existing installations that rely on HD component connections and many disgruntled customers. Refer to this article:

Im sure you could get some kind of converter plug.
- Will not help with the token discs tho....
