    Default DM500 RF Interference

    Hi,

Could anyone point me in the right direction to try and solve a minor but annoying issue with DM500 when on...the DM500 running causes interference...diagnol scrolling lines to the anologue FTA channels.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

make sure that you buy a DM500s with the appropriate C-tick approval.

Else you are breaking the law.

Are you using an external card reader?

If you turn off the power to the reader you will find the interference will go away.

It will also depend on how far away the reader is from your FTA analogue TV

No doubt the Oscillator on the card reader is creating/transmitting an interference signal.

This is what I have found anyway.

Have also been contemplating having a RF shield built to put the reader into.
Of course the other fix is to go out and get a digital STB/TV.
I only need one more of these - Just about replaced all my analogue stuff now.

Thanks guys...looks like it is the external reader causing the issue...
