I have a PiN 570 that has the maps on a specialy made SD card (extra pads).

Can the maps be updated for this model as Navman doesnt support it at all now.

not to sure about that but when I updated my old icn 520 to IGO 8 all is done from the SD card, just backed up all navman files then reloaded with all the IGO 8 files

I have an S series, what benefit is there in unlocking it, are there 3rd party maps available if it is unlocked?

Edit: and can it be rolled back once unlocked.

Just make sure you make a backup of the internal drive before the unlock then you can use it to roll back if needed.
You can still run the navman software after you have unlocked it.
You should be able to install Tomtom and iGO8 omto an SD card.

OK, unlock S90i was simple enough and rolling it back to original condition was also simple, it was the bit in the middle that eluded me.

I tried to run with IOG8 but couldnt get it to (I)go, couldn't even get it to appear on the desktop from which I could only start the Navman software. Tried with Sd card and with loading to unit at what seemed to be the right location, even tried creating shortcut on desktop but still it wouldn't go.

this is my first foray into playing with the internals of a GPS device.

Anyone got a quick tut in getting IGO8 to go on an S series.

If you used the programme drom here:
Then make sure you have read this part from here:

Or use FileManCE to navigate tp iGO8.exe and double click on it.
