    Default DreamDVD v0.82a plug-in

This is a great Plug in for the DM7000 and DM7020.
Currently i am testing it with in the lastest Gemini image.

It adds a new option in the Blue Button menu to allow you to play DVDs from your Dreambox HDD or a connected Optical reader/writer.

I have only been testing it with files stored directly on the HDD.

Seems you can Play a DVD stored in either .VOB or .ISO.
This works perfectly with a simple DVD, but if your DVD has lots of menu options, forget it, the Plug-in gets lost and doesn't know how to handle all the commands.

Chapter Forward, Chapter back, FF, RR, Play, Pause, Stop etc, all work perfect.
But if your DVD has on screen menus, then it's pot luck if it will work.

You can always just play a stored DVD from the HDD using the File method, this plug-in just makes it slightly easier, much better and adds some nice little OSD bits. You also can NOT see a .ISO in File mode and your Folder with .VOB and .VTS is very messy, but will work, although play order is sometime questionable. The Plug-in seems to fix all this

Has anyone else tried to use this Plug-in for DVD in .ISO format and tried scrolling through on screen menu with more luck than me?

I have only tested it with PAL format DVDs too
Keep an eye on your lip-sync too, i saw some small problems, my DM7020 gets converted to HDMI, so it might be in that, but i don't think so

Ok, i think i may of found something that could be the reason.

My ripped .ISO of my original DVD is 7.8gig, it was ripped to my NTSC HDD on my PC. Then FTP'd to the HDD on the DM7020. Interestingly, it only shows as a 4.294gig file on my DM7020.
Is there a linux HDD format extention issue here?
Is there a max file size? Thus should should all .ISO file be under a certain size?

There is no problem with rip using Shrink into .VOB and .VTS files on the DM7020.

sounds like a file system limitation.

Yeah which is odd, as its ext3.

    Max file size 16GiB – 2TiB
    Max number of files Variable[1]
    Max filename size 255 bytes
    Max volume size 2TiB – 32TiB

So it should walk it in???
