Thank jwoegerbauer but the links to the file seem dead now
Anyway would appear a number of people have the same issue with the identical unit to mine where it refuses to write the img file (writes part way and then screen goes blank)

Maybe its Time for me to admit defeat and put it on ebay as paper weight

Starting to wonder if some of these unit are designed to operate for a while and then trash themselves "designed obsolescence"

This phenomenon I experienced myself already multiple times: printer, video recoder, laptop, CD-drive, TV, coffee machine, etcetera. Always some days (weeks) after warranty expired (here in Germany, where I'm located, default 2 yrs), device became unusable means it then was dead. In the comparison to repairman's cost estimate a new buy always was cheaper. That's the reason why since some time I exclusively import electronical devices such as SatNav, tablet pc, mobile phone, and so on, directly from China - mostly half the price. The loss then for me is acceptable

I am beginning to subscribe to this theory. After several PMs and emails I was granted access to the DP download area but before I could use any of the info there my unit up and quit. That is to say it was working, shut it self down (due to low battery I thought) but would not reboot past splash screen. Have opened it and spent the best part of today working on it with Pndflashtool. Have written custom .ini file with unit specific info (bit of trial and error there), booted to flash mode and it is recognised by the application but every attempt to flash it ends with an error msg that translates to "hardware not found". I didn't want to fix it when it wasn't broke, now it is broke I don't seem to be able to fix it.
Murphy is alive and well here ... first brick for the new house I guess.

I have to say that the majority of the knowledge I used to try this I found in contributions to this thread

    Hello Nitin ^^)

    here are mine :

it's a 4.3" wide screen chinese gps (the small black with orange part depicted many times in the posts)

    Rom Version : 82F.2003.1CM2584A
    Software Version : V3.6.E017.12.3
    OEM Info : YFAtlas4
    Platform ID : 5955414E46454E47
    Device ID : 0000000000000000
    SDCardID : 82D55800

    btw, resinfo says that :

    YFAtlas4
    AT 10X0A 6.0
    WinCE 6.0
    64MB Ram
    10 MB Flash
    ARM 1136JF-S-AT550 @ 500MHz
    480x272 pixels, 65536 Colors

I was able to dowload the 82F english updates (if someone needs it for this one just ask as it was hard to find as a lot of links to it from the thread are dead) and have succesfully udated the WinCE 6 to english and changed the boot logo ^^)

BUT ! (yes) I've trashed the config file by mistake and now at upgrade it answer : "upgrading system.....upgrade failed"
where can I find the right config file for this particular one ?

And, I've lost all the WinCE6 tools that was installed previously... :-( how can I get it back ?

and same question as the firts one : is multiboot possible ?

thanks a lot by advance for the help ^^)

    hello nitin ^^)

well, the gps was a birthday gift from a friend, so I don't know where it has been bought (and he have forgotten witch ebay seller sold it to him...) but it is identical to this one : , sku seems to be 43006 ?

is it the right one for the data I wrote before ?

-edit- forgot to say that the original sd card suddenly died when I was on the road :-( is it possible to get a replacement one for it (or at least the contents ?)
thanks a lot by advance ^^)

I have an EONON G2226 unit , and after i had tried to install miopocket 4.0 the gps don't work. Durring the miopocket installation i had recieved and error , and the installation stoped. After that i had put the igo card on the unit i had started the application , but the GPS device didn't reconezied. I had tried with autodetect function , nothing , i had tried with manual search with each port nothing.

    The version is

    MCU: V7.7-S929SX6
    DVD: V4.6
    OS: V5.0-S2416-12.06.060
    APP: V1.6.6.5-UI48A

Is there a way to reset the windows or something ? Maybe something is wrong with the os , or i don;t know

Go to this . And see there are many GPS units displayed.. match one of them and see the SKU number on top and give it to me..
I will give that original firmware.. as per that SKU number. Match RAM, CPU, and other important things carefully or you will brick your PNA.

for lost data on MMC try Recuva. (search google)

You will have to keep these file on new MMC and insert that MMC and Hard Reset button that Unit.. the PNA will get flashed. thats the only option I think.

I've gotten a chinese GPS (this one right here from DX.com) and it came with the worst boot screen ever!

To change it, I have to put the YFUpdate.exe and a 800x480 24bits bitmap image in a microSD card and turn on the device, right?

But I saw that each firmware have a different image name and I couldn't find someone with the same firmware that I have.

    Here are system information...

    RomVersion: PT08V2.T.14.23
    Software Version: V3.6.5Y390.12.02.21
    OEM Info: YFMStar
    Platform ID: 5955414E46454E47
    Device ID: 0000000000000000

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks

    EDIT:
    1) Buy a microSD card (up to 2GB and format to FAT)
    2) Resize your picture to resolution 800x480
    3) Save your picture as LOGOPT08.BMP (24-bit)
    4) Copy this bmp picture to microSD card
    5) Restart GPS

Default my chinese Car GPS System

    Hello
I bought this Car All-in-One DVD/GPS, I don't find any way to know which firmware / SKU it is.

The only info I have are :

    MCV : One 12/05/09
    Version : v.703RB-05.11

Where can I find more details abount my device ? Nothing is written in the manual, no stickers on the device.

I want to have the firmware to customize IT (not the WinCE part, but the core firmware with Radio, TV, etc.)

    Thanks in advance

Why don't ask seller this question?
