    Question DM500s & logging

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, if not mods please move to appropriate thread.

I`m interested in purchasing a Dm500s to learn how to log. I want to start to log what is left of the Irdeto1 stream. From what I have heard, it is possible to log with this unit to log.
If this is the case, how is this done? and what is needed? Hardware & Software.

Thanks in advace for any replies.

    Cheers
    Min.

Yes it is possible, the only hardware you need is a computer and a dreambox.

There are a number of programs, but i think Mlog is the one i liked. You fire it up, enter the dreambox IP & port, and away she goes. (plus the stream settings)

I've never had to enable anything on the dreambox side, it has always just worked (gemini & pli), for other images you may have to do more.

    Cheers, RHCP.

Edit - It was IRD_LogExtract which i liked. Thanks Fandt

One of the members made a TUT and it was called
"How to Create your own Gamma File"
it still might be here or it might have gone with the old server
but it was real straight forward to show you how to log
If i find it I will send it to you in a PM

    cheers
