    Default Concept 4000 Wireless Lan?

I remember seeing a post a while back (before forum wipe) about a short range wireless device that worked well with Concept Lan.
Something similar to the sed-485 and challenger setup.

I need to locate a door reader about 30meters from main panel but it is not possible to dig/trench.
    LOS is fine however.

Does anyone remember/ know of a product thats suitable?

try contacting Sec.eng systems, they have a wireless network.
, only problem is that you must have power at the over end.

    Cheers

My source tells me that there is a device in the UK that will do the job but no idea where to find it. Nothing here in Aus, including from SECENG will do the job. Seems the Concept Lan is far to fast for any device to reliably return the communications. Needs to be rated in micro seconds not milli seconds. The tecom lan runs much slower so the seceng stuff will work on that.

This topic has been stagnant for a while now! The CLOE (Concept LAN over Ethernet) board has been known to overcome the "wireless LAN" issues. Coupled with some Wireless IP hardware, your Concept LAN is now wireless.

Here are some "toys" I have used to get a LAN wireless. CSD dont sell these but can easily be Googled.

Yes, and it works very well.
I used the Linksys (Cisco) WRT160N V2 wireless N band router which has 4 hardwired ports available and, of course, CLOEs at each end.
Range is good at about 80 -100 metres. Perfect for across-the-street stuff.
Everything is powered by monitored UPS.
Piece of cake to set up and filter out any unwanted war drivers as well.
    No "Module Losts" so far.
Next thing is to try bouncing Concept LAN off a satellite.
    BTW: The WRT160N V2s cost around $100.
