    Default Region 1/NTSC Format

    A curious question.
I just received a DVD from the US in Region 1 code but I cant see any referrence to the Format on either the DVD or the case cover.
Because it is Region 1, would it ALWAYS be recorded in NTSC or could they use a compatible format like AVI for instance ??
From what I have seen most US DVD players appear to be fairly restrictive in what Codes/Formats they play unlike most of ours which is damned annoying when your trying to send material from OZ to the US.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all

yes, region1, and the usa is ntsc only...

there would be no reference to ntsc and region as americans don't even think about anything 'non american'.

they wouldn't know what ntsc was, let alone pal...
