IF you want use "operate my GO" you must patch HOME also

    are you use FastActivate Premium
    looks like this:

    1. Plug your TomTom device to USB
    2. Start TomTom HOME
    3. Use "Operate my GO" it download profile files if needed
    4. close TomTom HOME
    5. run fast activate and push button TomTom HOME
    6. start tomtom HOME again and now you can use "operate my GO" option

look your toom root directory is there ttgo.ori & ttgo.bak files?

if you found these files your tomtom HOME download eg. 8010 navcore profile
and you cant use all maps with this navcore

you found all installed profile file that path what i give you. first look here if correct version is installed if you are not sure

There may be 3 ttgo files in the root of the TomTom:
    ttgo.bak
    ttgo.bif
    ttgo.ori

    Try the following:

    1) Delete the ttgo.bif file, unplug your TomTom from your computer and power it on. This will create a new ttgo.bif file which is needed for patching.
    2) Switch off your TomTom, then power it back on, plug it into the computer and run FastActivate.exe - all 4 options in order.
    3) Unplug your TomTom again and power it on, to make sure it has been patched and working properly.
    4) Plug it back into the computer and you should now have the above 3 ttgo files.
    5) Like pietu said earlier, run TomTom Home, go to the "Operate" function. This will create the dll profile needed in Home. Close TomTom Home. Run FastActivate.exe and press TomTom HOME.

TomTom Home should now be patched and working. If not, then you may need to do some tweaking to your ttgo files, assuming you now have all 3 of them. Otherwise, it is recommended to use the latest official navcore for your model, as it should never give you an error when using the Operate function in TT Home.

EDIT: Not all navcores appear to have 3 ttgo files. The 8.562 SE navcore I'm currently using has all 3. I have checked some other navcore and they only have the ttgo.bif file.

My apologies. Guys you are correct, I should have written switch off "and switch back on" before plugging in the USB cable to the computer. I've now edited that post.

Dama, you're right! I just checked a backup I have of the 9.053 navcore and there is only a ttgo.bif file. I remember TomTom Home was always working with my device, because the 9.053 navcore is optimized for ONE models, and this is where I think the problem is. You're probably not using the best navcore for your model.
Either use the 9.004 which is known to work well with most GO models, or use your latest official navcore which will probably work better than any other navcore - since it is meant for your model.
See the following thread for instructions on how to reinstall everything from scratch:

(Go to the 2nd set of instructions - steps 1 to 10 - on clean install)
    TomTom GO 730, Navcore 9.051c, 64Mb RAM, Australia 925.5412, Bootloader: 5.5250
    TomTom ONE v1, Navcore 9.170SE, 32Mb RAM, Australia 925.5412, Bootloader: 5.5244

If i use navcore 9.004 would that be any different to the one i have? and where can i find it. do i need to do a complete new install?

Yes, the 9.004 navcore is quite different. When you change navcores you always need to do a complete format and reinstall.

I'm not sure where there's a link of the 9.004 navcore, but it shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Why don't you try using your latest official navcore as I mentioned earlier? You can just download it from TomTom Home at no charge. It will run better and more smoothly than any other navcore, since it's made for your exact model.

Or you can try both and see which one you like best

I guess it depends on how many maps, voices etc that you have loaded onto your TtomTom but how long should the FastActivate process take??

I have about 90 voices loaded, (don't ask kids), but it's been running for about 15 mins and has only got through about 20 voice files???

Should it be minutes or hours???

    Thanks

    FastActivate ENG 29.05.2011 Version 1.8.7.0
There are 2 Editions here, Light Edition (Smaller File) If you only need to create .dct for voices/maps or other tomtom products please use the Light Edition , If you need to create .dct's and patch your ttsystem/PNDnavigator/TTHOME .dll or just want to download the full version then please download and run this version Premium edition

    AutoActivate ENG 29.05.2011 Version 1.8.7.0
This is a very easy keygen to use for map/cam/fuel and voice patching only no buttons to press or meta.txt to intergrate, just run and program download latest meta and activate all stuff
    Method 1:
    1. Plug your tomtom device with the USB to your PC or card reader

    2. Copy "Fast/AutoActivate.exe" to your TomTom device root directory for all product activation
(The keygen also works inside a map or voice directory also if needed)

    3. Run "Fast/AutoActivate.exe"

    4. Done...

    Method 2:
    1. Plug your tomtom device with the USB to your PC or card reader

    2. Run "Fast/AutoActivate.exe" from desktop or any other place

    3. Select tomtom drive letter when asked

    4. Done...

    Method 3:
    1. copy "Fast/AutoActivate.exe" and "TT*.BIF" your maps storage

    2. Run "Fast/AutoActivate.exe" and all maps and other stuff activated containing all sub directorys

    3. Done...

Note 0: If you get trouble running the .exe then "right click and run as administrator"
    If you use Wince and mapshare p a t c h copy ttnavigator.bif to ttgo.ori

Note 1: if you have a new meta code what is not in the integrated meta.txt dated (See in program for date of current meta.txt integrated)
and there is a problem with online update meta.txt You must put all new meta codes in a file named mymeta.txt and copy it to the ROOT
Directory or MAP directory too, always the same directory as FastActivate.exe

Note 2: (FastActivate) This program gets the latest meta.txt after press button "Update meta.txt", so an internet connection is needed for new maps...
By default this program uses the meta.txt file integrated (see file name for date)
Note 2: (AutoActivate) This program gets the latest meta.txt automatic, so an internet connection is needed for new maps...

Note 3: If you want to patch TTHome choose "TomTom Home" this works automatic and no need to search for any files just wait and it will tell you when done,
Also this program can patch ttsystem/PNDNavigator files copy FastActivate.exe to your device root and choose button "ttsystem/PNDnavigator" and it
    will tell you when done.

Note 4: If you are doing a fresh install on internal memory of navcore and map then you will need to restart the unit once after the installation of navcore
Before you try and patch the map because your unit will then generate the needed ttgo.bif file for the keygen to read. Also if you are installing to
a sd card rather than the internal memory the same applies you will need to insert the sd card into the tomtom device and reboot before you patch the
map so it generates the needed ttgo.bif file.

Note 5: Program works with TomTom PC emulator.

Note 6: If you want activate maps directly harddisk copy "TT*.BIF" same directory with "Fast/AutoActivate.exe", then activator works inside map directory and activate all sub directory too.
