Yes some antivirus program give false alert because program is upx compressed
    you can uncompress it eg.:
    upx.exe -d AutoActivate.exe

some reason (old brains maybe) i forget to uncompress last one by self
    here is uncompressed versions,
these not give virus alerts...? (usualy)

I have a question. I use Fastactive 1.80, just a few pages back, didnt see the latest release. I have a Tomtom one 3rd Edition 1GB. Now i bought it back 3 years ago, so since them i have never updated its maps, until last week where i was so upset due to the facts that many streets have change and this gps doesnt know it and its always getting me lost.

So, i downloaded USA-Canada 8.70.3417 800MB which is perfect for my navcore and my gps. However, when using Fastactive, i will click on all four 1 at a time as told here, it goes thru the process and patch everything. When it comes to map it even shows it got activated and all. But when i connect it to Tomtom Home, and click on map it tells me on red that such map cant be use until it gets activated.

The weird thing, after so many attempts i decided to go outside get on my car and tried last week address in which the new streets the gps didnt know. And it was working great, it found them, they loaded no problem.

But why is Tomtom Home telling me otherwise? and what happened to my favorites?

First of all, you should be using the LATEST version of FastActivate, which is 1.8.7.0. You can download it from post #81 in this thread.

If you are using your official navcore for the ONE 3rd Edition (which should be version 8.010) then the "Operate" function in HOME should work. Make sure that when you press "Home" in FastActivate that it confirms that TomTom HOME is patched.

Favorites are all stored in the mapsettings.cfg file from the old map folder. Copy paste and overwrite that file into the new map folder. But that is not all.

You still need to get "Operate My ONE" working in TomTom HOME in order to get your favorites back up. If the Operate function is working and showing your map, then you simply need to add or edit any favorite so it saves the mapsettings.cfg file in the new format for the new map.

If you are still having problems seeing the new map in the "Operate" function in HOME, then you may need to follow section (B) of the following tutorial in order to get it working:

Let us know how it all goes...

You can check your navcore version a couple of ways:

    1) In the menu of your device, go to Version Info. The navcore version will be shown there.
    or
    2) Right click on the ttgo.bif file and open it with Notepad. The version will be shown in the line "ApplicationVersionVersionNumber"

If TomTom HOME has completed all updates and it's saying no more updates are available, then most likely you will have the latest official version for your particular model, which should be 8.010

Hi, I've the same TomTom model device as your but I have problem installing M'sia map on it. Could you share what you had done to load Aust map on your device? I was using FastActivate light edition. After following the instructions of the first option in the documentation, I got "This map cannot use in this device" when I select the map, even on the original map.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi lemonfish,

Any idea if USA-Canada 8.70.3417 will work with Navcore 8.562 SE? Currently I am using that navcore with Aus Map 870.3406.

Do you know where can I get US maps from?

    Thanks.

Need help: I have installed Aus maps on my TT One XL. If I add US map, do I run FastActivate again to patch US map and will running FastActivate again impact already patched Aus map?

    Thanks.

As mentioned, just run it again.

It will only patch any un-patched maps etc and not change anything already patched.

You may get a msg saying already patched.... just ignore it.
