    Default Mini amplifier (9v) needed..

I am in need of help.

I am a teacher at University and we use a manaquin to simulate a human being as a patient (paramedic studies)

the $20K manaquin has a speaker in it that simulates breath/heart/pain/vomit/cough sounds.

I would like to put a wireless mic system into it so the manaquin can "talk" back.

So far I have bought on ebay a wireless mic and receiver (el cheapo) that has a small receiver that would normally be plugged into a large guitar amp.

I have also bought a mini 12V amp kit... that when placed between the mic receiver and a small CB radio style speaker actually works..... somewhat

The speaker in the manaquin is too small to be of use and i may just void warranty if i mess with it.

As a kid i had one of these

I am looking for similar and have checked Jaycar, DSE , tandy etc.

From memory the output on these was way better than my soldering kit outputs.

    I am limited to a 9v system.

If any one can let me know where to get one in melbourne (or can be posted here)

    or can suggest an alternative

    please reply..

You should be able to use your wireless mike with this
with a bit of chop chop, solder, glue and chewing gum

Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but wouldn't it be easier to just use a small FM radio amd a FM mic?

Things like these are easy to find and are very universal. It would probably do what your looking for.

What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

The megaphone is a littel big.... even after chop chop

I should have said I am limited in space to the sixe of a large big M... thats all i have to play with in the guts of the manaquin.

I have had a look at fm mics.... i may need to have a closer look at that.

The amp as listed from Jaycar..... could i wire that in series with the amp i already have and make it louder?

Try using an LM386. Just look for the datasheet on the net if you need a circuit diagram for them. If for some reason you can't solder or breadboard, then you can find no end to the modules that jaycar sell.
