    Unhappy My computer is dead?

well the other computer i use is dead i think.
ive had it about 5 years.
whenever i turn it on, most of the time after about 3 seconds it just stops, the screen is black and normally you gotta hold the button for 7 seconds to turn it off but i can just press it and it goes off...
when it decides to work, it normally just freezes and i have to turn it off and it wont go back on after a while.
if it doesnt freeze i can use it but im unable to do something like watch videos or play a game without it crashing, and when it does crash the screen shows a random color...

so i think its had its run. what does anyone else think?

Could be the heat transfer paste on the cpu dried up and the cooling fins blocked.

If you haven't already done it being new to the forums maybe you would like to introduce yourself to everyone at the link below.

    sounds like the power supply
dose it have a internal speaker (for fault code)

Yep..... all those symptoms are common with a faulty power supply.

Faulty/bulging/leaking electrolytic capacitors in the power supply and on the motherboard also do these things.

Faulty RAM is another suspect, but more-likely the above.

    Try re-seating the memory too.
Unplug it & try it in another slot
