I'm sure I've seen this spoken about before on this forum but I'm stuffed if I can find the relevant thread.
What is the cheapest and easiest way to record from a DM500?
Thanks
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

Ahhhh Networking & sharing - words I have come to loathe
I have a dedicated 2 TB NAS - on my system they are listed as the Y and Z drives but how does the dream see them.
I assume In the System Settings I select Network Mounts and ADD a Mount.
The description I don't have a problem with but what happens next ??
The file system - NFS / CIFS or SMBFS - is this determined by the NAS ??, Mines a Buffalo and I think I recall reading about CIFS - IP addy is fine, and I assume I can default the mount point name as /media/server1, but the server directory is that recorded as Y or Z:\Movies or (\\BUFFALO-NAS) (Y
It's these naming practices that I get confused with.
Thanks in anticipation
cheers
Ohhh sorry, forgot to ask - Instead of fumbling with the remote can these mounts be edited through software such as SMC or FlashFXP ?? and if so, what file and what directory. ??

Depends on the image(Pli) but all the same.
system setting, network mount.
add new mount.
Discription = add what every name you like (dream)
File type = cifs X auto mount.
ip address = your network drive (Y/Z drive)
mounting point = /media/hdd
server dir = the name of the folder you created on you network drive (Y or Z) eg dream
user name = xxxx on your network drive folder
password = xxxx on your network drive folder
options = rw on, nolock on, resize 8192, wsize 8192
SAVE this will take you to network mount
press dream or what ever name the description you gave.
last step Mount.
dont forget on your network drive you create a folder that match the server dir above, also username and password.
