Don't blame me - I didn't vote for these dickheads, and those that did should get a brain scan.
I see the internet idiot was on....did he make more sense than usual?
Whilst I tend to agree that The Australian sits a bit to the right (but no further than the ABC to the left IMO), it seems increasingly clear to me at least that SOMEONE needs to hold the government of the day to account as they won't do it themselves.
Such things as Governor General "decrees" to keep things such as the NBN from fiscal scrutiny ring alarm bells to me.

I wrote on here recently commenting that Murdoch did not want the NBN refering to an article by economist Terry Mcrann in the Melb Sun and plagerised by another reporter in the Australian about 10 days later. BUT i must admit that in both publications since there have seen a number of articles in both stating their case for the NBN
Remember editors have to anticipate their masters wishes, get it wrong and you are history ie recent court case on wrongful dismissal
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Madness"
To NBN or not to NBN is not the issue to me. I have no intention of initially using the NBN myself only because my own circumstances mean that my present connection is more than adequate for my needs. That may change however.
The issue is the spending of a vast sum of public funds without ANY scrutiny. Now, it may all be on the up and up, but this governments record in spending programs is a disaster at best, and scrutiny SHOULD be applied.
Anything else is lunacy in my view.
