Default Deleting unwanted programs from pli image

I have noticed that there is a lot of crap taking up room on the PLI image. I have tried to delete this crap (pacman etc) but find that I'm not allowed in the FTP

The dir with the unwanted programs is /lib/tuxbox/plugins/

Help on this matter might allow me to add a different skin

??? You can add a different skin when ever you like i'd of thought.
Unless you have a DM500, as i have no idea about those toys and their onboard memory.
DM7000 and DM7020 have plenty of room to play with all your options and addons.
And if not.... add a USB or CF and move /var

But can't you just delete what your looking to delete via the remote control?

BTW, my Pli image has no such path as lib/tuxbox

    Yeah I have a 500,
There is no option to delete them under PLI. they come pre-installed

Can I move the var on a 500? I doubt it

yes you can move the /var if you mount an external drive and move all of /var/ to the mounted drive. The tool to do this is under your blue button

I think you understand now that these are not what is taking up the space in your /var , so download and install any of the skins, you will even note the Thai Skin we put up last week.
