Hi all
Had my Austar card in the DB7000 and it seems they have made changes to the stream which stopped the pics overnight. Tried re-booting, but reading other threads it seems that most non-provider boxes have this issue.
My card is in a CI, so I was wondering whether other users have been able to get theirs working without putting the card back in the provider box.
If so, please post your setup (eg. softcam, etc).
Cheers

Yeah, I have mate but just wondering whether anyone with dreamboxes have had success with different emus/softcams
No solution mate.
They have done something really hard.
You know how Austar boxes have their own software for the interactive stuff ... perhaps they have got the card to check for the existence of that software and this is why it doesn't work on non-provider boxes?
I am thinking this is a camkey issue, has anyone tried any of these combo's for their camkey/camdata in CCcam?
If using CCcam the lines are:
CAMKEY: /dev/sci0 xx xx ... (8 bytes)
and
CAMDATA: /dev/sci0 xx xx .. (64 bytes)
Try these numbers, don't live in aussie, don't know if they will work, but googling for camkey gave me these numbers.

thanks bartender but....
it's not a camkey issue.
It's harder than that....in fact too hard.
learn to program/dissasemble cam firmware on a Humax and you're god.
(or ask for help at the humax site )
Well they were Pr00, aurora was PR10.
now....they are....PR20.
well that's according to logs....
When you reflash a cam OTA all the good stuff the installer does needs ..err...fixing.
Ouch, well yes, I think logging all the OTA firmware updates may be of use, but they are most probably crypted anyway, so I think everyone is SOL.
That being said tho, depending on how well written the Gamma card software was the EMM send to update the provid should mean it gets updated. However needing a new softcam, no small feat in itself.
Sucks to be you guys!
Just another thought, since they have rolled out a new provid on a new chid, i assume the "TRY ALL CHIDS" option has also been tried in CCcam?
Since the chid 00 still had a valid provider id, plus the date would still be valid, so by default the cams would always use that one, but "TRY ALL CHIDS : /dev/sci0" if the smartcard is in the dm (and not in a phoenix) would be something else worth trying.
For some reason the cards wont work(read) in the DM front slot
