Can you stream this to the iPhone and watch it on TV at the same time? I assume if you had a dual tuner you could watch seperate channels?

I believe so, but haven't tested this yet. I think this is implied by the feature "Smart tuner switching with or without zapping".

The nice thing about this app is it is not a "hack" ala AirVideo, nor do you need to run server software like AirVideo. Oh, and you get EPG integration, unlike AirVideo.

    Dreambox with enigma 2 (DM8000, DM800, …)
Will it work on a DM518s? I have Jade PLi image running.

Also let us know what type of WiFi connection you try it on... I have G here, but may consider upgrading if it is average.

The app only supports enigma 2 currently. DM518 is enigma 1 based I believe, so no. But they may add support in the furture.

I'll test on G and N and post results.

Did a quick test this morning. Watched about 20 mins of Sky News on the iPad while I ate breakfast. Too easy to set up (enter dreambox ip address and thats it). The channel changes are fast and the app simple to use. Swipe to change channels, tap an icon to get bouquets with EPG up. Can also watch any recorded shows you have on the dreambox.

I tested this on a wireless G network and didn't get any breakups during my 20 minute session. Seems solid. My only complaint is that it seems to use the standard EPG (now, next) rather that my CrossEPG data.

Worth the 10 bucks IMO, and is currently the best way to watch live tv on your iPad/iPhone.

Nice work Lomax... seems a good thing.

Plenty of other programs and threads about streaming to iphones from E1 boxes, most with flakey performance.

Good to see it works from E2 boxes.... interesting they only mention iphone 4 and not earlier versions.

Yeah only iPhone 4/iPad/iPod touch 4 support (maybe because of processing power?).

Yeah I'd expect they'd be missing out on a pretty big enigma 1 market.

Does it work only on local network or can it be accessed remotely?

I just tried a HD channel. Doesn't work. It tries to play, but it's like the iPad just doesn't have the power. Maybe hd content needs to be transcoded on the fly.

Also, I note that their forums say that you can stream out over the Internet as long as you forward the appropriate 2 tcp ports, although this is not officially supported because of bandwidth concerns.
