    So what are the driver alerts? School areas?

    I have this map and the same version of iGo on my HTC Wildfire (Telstra) and have no problems with the speed of loading the map. I also have Dem and 3d buildings. Don't know what your problem could be.

    Should this map work with IGO Amigo? Doesn't seem to work with mine.

    Yes, this map will work with any of the iGO products except 1GO8.0. If you are using a legal version of Amigo, then the map won't work with your license. The only way to get it working is to use a cracked version.

    I'm not sure if the speed camera file is working for me (the second, separately linked one).

    Do I need to be physically close to one for it to show up, or should they show up as I navigate around the map on screen?

    They will show up if you navigate around provided you have a valid GPS lock. In fact you will not be able to make any alterations to the different speedcam type visibility settings without GPS lock.

    By GPS lock do you mean that the GPS has a satellite connection?

    I've just noticed that I keep putting the speedcam.spdb file in the \content\speedcam directory, and then after I've run the application it's disappeared.

    What am I doing wrong?

    1. GPS lock = satellite connection, same thing.

    2. Unfortunately without the original text files to work with iGO will delete the speedcam.spdb file because it thinks you no longer require those speedcams. Download , use what you want from the many or use all of them. Just place in \content\speedcam and restart Primo. It will build a new speedcam.spdb file from the text files. There is also a mod required to the iGO9.ini file in the project_config section of the data.zip so that all the announcements are correct (it will work ok without this but some announcements may be a bit silly). I have included this section of iGO9.ini with the speedcam files. Just replace the complete speedcam section in your existing iGO9.ini file with the replacement section provided. Don't try to replace the complete file with the one provided because it is just a section of the complete file. Different Primo versions have unique settings in this file thus the messing about).

    Cheers, Ian

    Thanks very much Ian.

    I'm actually running iGO Amigo. I can't find many *.ini files at all (mapstates and system). The system.ini has a couple of rudimentary speed camera settings, ie

    [warning]
    speedcam_warning="1"
    speedcam_soundtype="2"
    speedlimit_warning="1"
    speedwarn_alt_tolerance="105"
    speedwarn_tolerance="110"
    I'll try putting the speedcam text files in the speedcam directory of Amigo and see what happens.

    Success! Speedcams are showing.

    Now, I'll wait for guidance/suggestions on the "iGO9.ini file".

    With Amigo or iGO8 you don't need the iGO9.ini file it's only for Primo. However with Amigo or iGO8 you can only use the files that specifically relate to speed or red light cameras including Police Enforcement zones. I'm not sure whether railway crossings and school zones are recognised but you can try them and see if they show up. If not, remove those particular *.txt files and the speedcams.spdb file will be updated. The others such as curves etc will only be recognised in Primo. Hope that helps.

    Yes, thanks very much Ian, that makes it clear.

    So I take it I can't get Amigo to give me the voice messages in your .ini file?

    As far as I can remember (I have not used Amigo for a long time) it would require some sort of skin with spoken speedcams. Unfortunately I can't suggest much else as I now use Primo exclusively. As a starting point try Googling 'diMka skin' and see what you can find.

    Thanks for your work, guys.
    I have a question, igo8.3 route planning is pretty worst than tomtom. The options only fast, easy... and speed camera will alert even I can see it's on the opposite site.

    Is there any way to improve the road planning and where I can find the latest speed cam file?

    Thanks

    Hi Ian,

    what do you mean "I have included this section of iGO9.ini with the speedcam files."
    the iGO Primo will generate the iGO9.ini under speedcam?
    how can i modify the ini file?
