Yes you can get it with a 2.3m dish off the asiasat satellite free to air
Hi Group.
Can anyone please tell me if RAI Italia is available for free from any satellite that can be received in Victoria, Australia.
After a lot of research on the web, I still can't seem to find anything definite.
Some info. shows it to be a subscription service, others say it can be free, but I can't seem to find out this for certain or which satellite it may come from.
What I need to know is, which satellite and what size dish is needed.
Thanks,
Russell.

Russel, if this helps I use a 180cm ground mount solid Jonsa dish. RAI beams in loud and clear. Don't forget that Euronews on Asiasat 5 also has an Italian sound track: 3960H Audio Pathway id 2574 (or use the audio button on the remote).
Two more Italian (christian) channels on Optus D2: TelePace (12425 H) and Telepadre Pio (12706 H). Worth a look at for docos, the occassional movie and some current affairs.
Bringing the total of FTA Italian Channels to 4.
Also there are currently 86 TV Italian streams here:
