    Default CCcam2.0.4 versus CCcam2.0.5

I have been having problems getting CCcam2.0.5 working.

It seems my "best working" combination is CCcam2.0.4/Newcs1.31.
ATM this seems to be good enough for me and one part of me tells me to leave things as they are.

I was wondering what gain is there for me to get CCcam2.0.5/Newcs going anyway?

With what network combination? And why not just one cam?

I have only managed to get a server function working by using CCcam/newcs on one DB. Clients then only need to use CCcam.
This is working over my local network.

I understand that I could also use CCcam as a server ILO of using newcs however I have not had much luck to get this working.

ATM I am sticking to what I know has worked for me. If I change my setup I will need to set aside time to do this which I do not always have.

I understand CCcam2.0.4. may not do card updates although I have not had this problem yet. This could be an advantage for other reasons as well.

Thanks Decapper - I will let you know if I need some help.ate?

I am still keen to know the benefit of 2.0.5 over 2.0.4 anyway.

For a start does 2.0.4 update the card?

Obviously if a card misses an update you can put the card in the original box and an update will happen either on it's own or via a call to the subs supplier.
To date I have not had this issue using CCcam2.0.4.

If a card is having a problem getting updates how often would this be a problem e.g. does it happen once a day, once a week, once a month etc. ???

    Just had a thought.

Maybe as I am using CCcam 2.0.4/NewCS1.31 the updates are happening via NewCS and not CCcam anyway?

Can I check a setting in the DM to see if updates are being received?

I'm sticking to good ol' 2.0.4 beauce my NewCS 1.5 behaves erratically when I run my AU (on) box with CCAM 2.0.5.

I get constant freezes and jitters (maybe twice every 4 minutes) with CCam 2.0.5...2.0.4 near flawless.

I never have to pop the NDS card into the orig stu to stocky update...but I am pretty sure PPV updates are not picked up with 2.0.4....found out the hard way when I purchased a main event fight night with the boys only for it to black out on us just before it started.

I think I have had the same issues and at this time I will be sticking to CCcam2.0.4 and Newcs1.31.
Also found that I have not needed to place the card back into the original sub box. However when I recently did an upgrade I did need to put the card into the sub box.
A burning question for me -- If I do a downgrade does the service continue as was previous until I place it into the sub box again?

    dont know about the 600
but bluey is a definite goer in 7000 and 5620 with cccam2.08
no missed updates - even does fbo movies quite happily
no need for newcs to get in the way
