the boys at CSD tech a call
1300 319 499, leave a voicemail if you need to
Hi All,
I have a concept 4000 system - works perfectly with site cards from our pool, however, I have been trying to program in fobs, which are not from our card pool; via Direct Entry and Credit Card, by presenting them at the designated reader.
The panel reads and copies the card data, and its visible in the terminal and insight, however, when trying to use the card, the card is rejected, and 'Invalid Site Code' is printed in the log.
This has never been an issue on Tecom systems with IUM modules, however, I can't for the life of me get this to work!
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Cheers and thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply
Whats the charge for this service?
Whilst direct entry is a feature of the concept system, you still need to tell the system what the site code is, hence the invalid site code error.
Depending on your memory configuration you can enter up to 128 different site codes. You need to work our what the site code is for the direct entry cards and create a new site code in the system [Menu 2, 5].

You cant mix site code and direct entry on the same door.
You will have to set them to site code as already said

Got it working
Thanks for you help guys, managed to get the site got from MENU 4-5, entered that in, keyed in the number on the card and bam, working like a charm, no need to direct entry the card.
In what situation can you get the 'Direct Entry' mode to work like the Tecom with IUM? Dont need it in my facility, just asking out of curiosity.
Thanks again!
Legend!
Haven't seen a charge yet for a basic call like this would be for the techs
Obviously it's not going to be possible to teach someone from scratch how to do everything over the phone (as some do seem to expect), but most calls are answered pretty quickly , and are pretty quick to answer
