    Default VLC plugin

    Hi is there a way to boost the sound through this, as audio seems to be very low even if i have vlc, DM turned up full blast.

    using gemini 3.30 DM7000, VLC plugin 12.0 to Gemini 3.4

    ... depending on what you are 'playing' through VLC .. you will find that the audio level is dependent on the encoding and also the type of codec you are using with VLC ...

    ... for example ... if you have a 2 channel encoding - something from a captured TV program ... the the audio level can be OK ...

    BUT ... if the source your are playig was encoded as AC3 and you don't have the appropriate hardware on your playback ... the audio level can be quite low - as your will only pick up 'some' of the encoded sound channels during playback ...

    If you can try forcing the playback in 2 channel mode (if you do have a multi-channel encoding) .. I found this boosts the audio to some degree ...
